How Shall We Enjoy A Better Life?

Step One (1) Discuss the title(Ask the Ss to discuss the title and try to
find out ideas as many as possible.)
(2) Pick out one as today's main topic—Environmental
protection(both ecological & social)
Step Two Discuss the weeping earth.
Step Three Listen to a passage about pollution twice first & do some
exercises, and then listen to it again to fill in several blanks left.
Step Four Appreciate a part of Song called Heal The World, and ask the
students to fill in the missing words.
Step Five Look at a group of video tapes one by one and finally fixed on
one picture. Then ask the students to discuss them.
Step Six Look at a group of Pictures. First, illustrate a map of cattle
eating grass to show the forming of deserts. And then let the
students discuss the rest pictures and then report.
Step Seven Discussion & Interviewing. Suppose the city government
wants to put pollution under control, it invites people from all
walks of life to discuss the detailed measures. And several
reporters have been sent to interview it.(Ask the students to
discuss in groups.)
Step Eight Look at the pictures of “9.11”event and“BaLi Island Explosion”to
show the importance of fighting against terrorism.
Step Nine Discussion. If we put the pollution under control, What kind of
better life will we enjoy?
Step Ten Homework: Write down the discussion today to form a
composition with the title. How Shall We Enjoy A Better Life?
